A Nashville Tennessee based Audio Engineer, with experience in all forms of audio production.
I was introduced to audio engineering as a musician, recording in studios for various projects. Found an interest in recording music, and eventually sharpened my skills enough to record and mix for others. During this time I learned the skills of running sound for a Live Event, as I started mixing for concerts, live-streams and various events.
Eventually, I became the head Audio Engineer for Sparky LLC, a YouTube channel that focused on artist performances and promotion through digital media. This was a perfect blend of both the “Studio” and “Live sound” worlds of audio engineering. We often had multi-track performances done in one “Live” take where I had to coordinate not only the recording, but also the on-set playback through Wireless IEM’s for all performers to hear, along with the Director and Producers. After the shoot session, I would then be responsible for all audio editing, dialogue and vocal editing, as well as the complete mix and master for digital platforms. This was often done with tight deadlines, and with very high-profile clients like Capital Records, some larger “Indie” artists, and other smaller record labels.
After my time with Sparky I moved on to more freelance work, spending most of my time in the world of Film production and Audio Post-Production for all types of media. Be it commercials, Interviews, Documentaries, Narrative work, or even a comedic passion project, I have found myself immersed in audio. Sharpening my skills as a Sound Designer and Foley artist, as well as a Mix engineer, working in Surround Sound formats and mixing for theatrical release. Occasionally Mixing on set, to learn the full scope of audio production.
